Today has been the first day in a while that was actually a beautiful day! There was ZERO rain the ENTIRE day. I couldn’t believe it. I had to make sure I took advantage of this day and take the poo (aka Reagan) to the dog park. So, that is what my day consisted of. I got up around 1 and made some coffee, and started to get ready. I wanted to take advantage of the incredible sunlight that was coming through my windows and play with my makeup. I actually think I did really good! I used a mixture of my Ulta box of makeup shadows, and my Urban Decay Alice in Wonderland palette. I made a kind of sunsetty look. I dig how it turned out.
Don’t mind my fucked up eyebrows yall. They need a good plucking! It’s only Day 10 of this deployment and I am so happy with how much better I have gotten at my makeup. I cannot wait to see what the next few months will bring in terms of makeup growth!
After I got finished with my eye makeup I went to pick up Ashley because how could I go to the dog park without my dog loving newest bestie? I swear, yall should have seen this woman’s face light up when we got to the dog park and she saw Riggs and Ludo running around out there, made her damn day. She is actually the one who captured the hilarious picture of Reagan above. Thanks, Ashley, it made a great feature photo for today’s blog. Ashley is the real MVP because she gave me her last bit of Caesar dressing so I didn’t have to go to the commissary today (as I have stated in a previous blog, I hate the commissary).
That is pretty much all ya girl has gotten done today, but today started off really upsetting. It has finally started to set in that Mike will be gone for some months, and I will only get to talk to him on rare occasions. I haven’t really gotten to talk to him much since he has left and it is finally taking a toll on my emotional state. So for today to end as good as it has, I am very thankful. Thankful for good friends, thankful for a great dog, and thankful to God for giving me a beautiful sunny day. That’s all for now yall. Hasta luego my friends! Until tomorrow!
